Day 43 of 331 - Late Night!

Good Morning!
It is actually 1:43AM. In other words, it is "tomorrow!" (And we were told that "Tomorrow never comes!")
Anyway, I worked until 1:15 or so on revisions to the Bulwark Pest Control drawings - some three hours. More "architectural" work, and more money! (Architectural is in quotes because there was no design per se, just drafting. Nonetheless, it was paid work drawing, at a decent rate. So that is far better than driving a cab at 15c an hour!)
I might as well relate the cab story here. Several months back I went on to CraigsList, desperate for work. (This was before making "the decision.") I found that Discount Cab was hiring, and that one could make $100 a day. So, I went and got hired and trained over the course of several days. After driving for two days I made some $49.50, as I recall. That included $45 worth of discounts offered to all drivers as an incentive on their first two days.
So, minus the incentives, I actually made $4.50 for some 30 hours of work (including driving to and from work). That amounted to 15c an hour. I also had to invest $100 in a GPS, which broke in the middle of my second afternoon. That made the decision easy. I took it back to Wal Mart and got my money back. I was out of the cab business! I had to rent the cab each day for $100, and I wasn't willing to risk that on the hope of making 15c an hour! (The fellow who trained me was making roughly $6.00 an hour, and he had been doing it for 7 months!)
In 4 1/2 days of CAD work during the past 3 weeks, I made as much as I would have made in 8 weeks driving a cab. So, life is wonderful! The economy is still depressed because of our President and Congress (and to some degree the previous President), and they are seeking desperately through parliamentary maneuverings to pass nationalized health care, which would essentially bankrupt the country even further, as well as strip us of our basic right to independence. It is an outrage, and it will not stand. This land was established on the basis of individual liberty, and we will not let a government that receives its power from us, rule over us.
So, now you know where I stand politically - and I make no apology to anyone for my position. Our freedom and our inherent rights come from God, not from government. Those elected officials who believe otherwise are either enormously ignorant or fundamentally corrupt. In either case they do not value either freedom or the right of the people to self determination. They also believe that they have the right to dictate to the people what they feel is best - and they are wrong. They do not have that right, and I for one, will never concede it!
I spent just a half hour working on the Rosson model tonight. I therefore didn't get a lot done. However, while driving across town to meet with a friend about SendOutCards, I got the idea to get my friend Tom Spencer (who does house plans), and several custom home builders, and an interior designer, and put together a team of people to offer their services to prospective buyers in The Pecans. We would go ahead and design the houses, and put together both prices and story boards showing the interior design, fixtures, and furnishings, as well as complete cost estimates. All could basically work out of the main real estate office there at The Pecans - or at least have the story boards and estimates, etc. there for prospects to see.
I think that is a great idea. I am waiting for the best way to present my ideas to the new owners. I will meet with and interview all of the prospective builders and designers, including all of the architects and designers on The Pecans' original list. That way we will develop both synergy and momentum. I will also introduce all of them to SendOutCards.
I will also pursue my idea to establish an adult education and wellness center at the house across the street from the project. It is vacant, and I have spoken with the owner by phone. I will call them tomorrow.
Everything is working out beautifully, and I am very, very grateful!
Good night!
Mr. Wright
