I started my first architectural project in over three years today. I only completed one detail in about two hours, but it looks wonderful, and I actually spent several additional hours relearning how to set up a standard sheet with title block, ready to handle drawings of any scale. Very nice.
Had a wonderful workout this morning as well. Tomorrow I will complete my sixth week back in the gym - three days a week. We may get in several more days this week before we're through. I truly love the benefits I receive from working out. Feeling good about one's self really does feel good - and the benefit to which I am referring is more than just the physiological feeling. It is more the psychological feeling. So the truth is, there is a whole other side to working out beyond just feeling better physically or physiologically.
Meanwhile, I just completed several hours of putting 'gingerbread' on the front porch of the Rosson House (model). I didn't quite finish, but I came close. Should be able to do so tomorrow, along with the good deal of work I will complete on my paid project. It is wonderful to be able to focus on simply doing an outstanding job on whatever project I am doing. That will be my focus from now on.
I didn't get to think much about Kevin Petersen and Conley Wolfswinkel, and The Pecans today. I will mull that over in my subconscious while I sleep. I am truly excited about everything that is happening, and am also very confident that things are working as they should, or as they need to in order for me to reach my goals. All I must do besides continuing to work is to continue to reflect on my goals. The more I do this, the more real they become. I also agree with Cody Bateman, the author of Promptings, the book I received from Chuck Pousson on Thursday. Cody says that the more senses we can include in our affirmations or "I Am" statements, the more real they become.
This has occurred naturally as I have been writing these statements daily. They are as follows:
- I do elegant and beautiful historic residential architecture. I see the exquisite detailing of the extensive wood porches, along with beautiful brick and precast concrete details and window/door surrounds. These houses are truly creations of beauty and delight.
- I earn over $100,000 after all taxes and fees this year (2010), doing what I love to do: elegant architecture, writing, speaking, and assisting others to reach their own full potential. Having this money allows us to do and have many wonderful things with people we love and appreciate - and influence for good. Our success is a blessing to many others.
- I am married to the most beautiful, fit, confident, and happy woman I know. We love being together, and willingly sacrifice other things to see that we have much time together.
Well, it's 10:30 PM, so "That's all I have to say about that!"
Good night!
Mr. Ballantyne
