Great Day!
It is Monday, 15 March, 2010, 11:35PM. I just finished reconstructing the Rosson model. Because the file is so large, the only way to manage it efficiently is to assemble the model from referenced pieces that are actually separate drawings that are referenced by the main drawing. This main "drawing" is actually a collection or assemblage of 3D drawings, each containing a portion of the overall model. These drawings are called 'reference files.' So that is your lesson in the technical digital aspects of 3D CAD. Exciting!
Meanwhile, I downloaded a free e-book from Brian Tracy yesterday on goal setting. The book is called Goals. It is actually 300+ pages, and looks very good. I finished Kody Bateman's book, Promptings, today, so I will start reading Goals tomorrow. I also started Book IV of The Secret of Life Series yesterday. In it I start with the fact that everything begins with the establishing of a goal. Until this is done, there is no direction, and, indeed, no meaning to our lives. Where is it that we are trying to go? What this ultimately means is that we must make a decision. What specifically are we setting about to do. When this is clearly defined and stated - decided upon, in a word - 'the earth moves,' as the saying goes. I, in fact, believe that this is the primary causative factor which results in 'magic' - forces outside of ourself beginning to exert themselves on our behalf.
I call it 'magic,' but like everything else in the universe or cosmos, it is not 'magic' at all, but law. It is late (11:52), so I will close, but tomorrow I will comment on what, exactly, begins to happen when we make a decision and act on it, and why. I will simply end by saying that these are principles or laws that work every time - just as the laws of nature with which we are familiar. These are not 'hit or miss' situations. If we apply the principles, we can be certain that we will elicit the expected or desired results. We come to know for ourselves, through personal experience, that the principles are true. If we faithfully apply them, they will just as faithfully deliver whatever it is that we specifically seek. There are no accidents or occurrences of chance.
As I indicated on the first day of this odyssey, there is a development nearby for which I have planned to be the Chief Architect. The development has recently changed hands. I emailed the new owner - whom I had communicated with initially some six months ago - on Friday. He emailed me back within an hour stating that he looked forward to meeting with me soon, and that he had recently spoken to his partner about me - even though we had yet to meet each other face to face. (We had emailed several times, and spoken on the phone several times, but never actually met.)
My wife and I went to a choral concert at our church last night. There were probably 500 or more people in attendance. We got there early, and sat very close to the front. At one point a lady sat in the pew to my right. She asked if the seats were saved, and I told her they were not, and that she was welcome to sit there. She was soon joined by her husband and several daughters. I went to get a drink of water at some point, before the concert began. As I passed in front of the husband, it occured to me that I should introduce myself. I asked him his name, and when he introduced himself I realized that it was the new owner of the development.
Before leaving for the concert I felt impressed to take a copy of my book with me. I hesitated, given that I didn't plan to sell it at church, but decided to follow the prompting and take it anyway. After our 'chance' meeting, I signed a copy, and wrote a note in it, then gave it to this man whom I had been hoping to meet for some six months or more. I believe that was the result of me deciding nearly six weeks back that I would pursue this project. The Rosson model that I have been working on every day but Sunday and last Saturday for that entire time, is specifically aimed at securing this project. My decision, and subsequent daily work in pursuit of the goal for nearly six weeks now, have caused certain things to come into being. I believe our meeting was one of them. Getting the paid architectural project, and finding the SendOutCards opportunity are two more examples - each very significant as they relate to my achieving the goals I set, and have recorded on 3x5 cards each day for the past three weeks. Cause and effect.
Life is good!
Good night!
Mr. Wright
