It's 11:30 PM - regardless of what the blog clock indicates! ("Where are your children?")
Okay, here's the deal. Due to my failure to secure income over the past sixteen months - up until about two weeks ago - Jan and I have been living with one of our children (and her three children - ages 4, 5, and 8) for the past eight months. I mention this because my "office" is our bedroom, and my "desk" is, in fact, our bed. There is a desk in the room, and Jan has her computer set up there. So, I sit on my bed with my back against the wall (softened by several pillows), and draw (or build virtual models), send email, read, and blog.
I mention this because if I were to start running the video camera - and I am dressed at all times while working, just for the record - it would not be very glamorous. So, that won't happen for the time being. As things begin to take off, however, I will no doubt begin to "video blog."
Meanwhile, I finished my paid work today - I completed the architectural project I was hired to do - and delivered the drawings, along with the invoice. I will pick up a check tomorrow for more money than I have made all totaled throughout the past three and a half years (as noted previously - more than once or twice, I believe!). So, things are looking up. There was nothing particularly glamorous about the project, but the drawings looked great, and the client seemed quite happy with my work.
Tonight, I completed making the corrections to the mistake I detected two days ago on the front porch 'gingerbread.' Meanwhile, the model has somewhat come apart, and will require some surgery starting tomorrow. Now that I'm back on the job, however, I will begin to make more progress. The bottom line is that I have continued to work on it for nearly five weeks (tomorrow). So, I am keeping my commitment, and my life is beginning to change. It has been challenging, but that's okay. It's all good!
See you tomorrow!
Mr. Wright
